Rotationskörper, Option Linie

Hallo
wenn einen Rotationskörper erstellen will, wird im Eingabefeld u. a. die Option "Linie" als Rotationsachse angegeben.
Ich habe als Linie eine sich verjüngende Helix gezeichnet. Im Befehl "Rotation" gibt es dann aber keine Möglichkeit, auf diese Linie Bezug zu
nehmen.
Geht das überhaupt?
