Wie kann man mehrere Shells in einer exportierten STL-Datei schon in DesignCAD zu einer zusammenfassen?

Dass eine STL-Datei z.B. 3 Shells enthält, wird als Analyseresultat z.B. vom Programm MiniMagics angezeigt. In einer STL-Datei können offensichtlich mehrere Datensätze der Oberflächenfacetten drinstehen. DesignCAD führt beim Addieren von Körpern diese Datensätze nicht unbedingt zusammen, was aber wünschenswert wäre.

Ok verstanden. Wir nutzen den kostenfreien Model Repair Service von Microsoft (Kooperation von Microsoft und Autodesk), um (bei Bedarf) das 3D-Modell für den 3D-Druck zu optimieren.

Unsere Erfahrung: In der Praxis hat es aber beim 3D-Druck keine großen Auswirkungen gehabt. Ein Qualitätsunterschied war mit dem "Auge" (zumindest bei unseren Projekten) auch nie erkennbar. Ebenso einen (großen) Geschwindigkeitsvorteil konnten wir auch nicht ausmachen.
